3D HDTV
We saw a lot of HDTVs without 3D glasses and portable devices, but a promising new technology called HR3D (3D senior) made the prototype phase. Engineers at the MIT Media Lab, developed the new solution, say it avoids the brightness of the screen resolution affecting the viewing angle and the battery life, and does not require the tedious (and expensive) 3D glasses. HR3D uses a pair of LCD layers to create the illusion of depth, with the upper layer (or mask) shows a variable trend in the image below on this basis so that each eye sees a slightly different picture. Nintendo 3DS uses a similar technique, but with a parallax barrier, rather than a second screen. The designers built the prototype ViewSonic VX2265wm two screens, the removal of liquid crystal displays from their seats and remove polarizing filters and films. We still have to go eye to HR3D, so we're a mite skeptical, but this promising technology is a value close, and all angles.
